The LAO/Caudal view is not a conventional
view for imaging the RCA. However it may be occasionally needed when
the mid portion of a tortuous artery cannot be clearly "laid out " in
the other views.
In the RAO/Caudal view the image intensifier and camera are rotated
toward the patient's left and tilted away from the head. They "look upward"
at the heart from the left (unlike the cranial tilt where they "look downwards"
